This course is fast, efficient, + fun. You’ll receive assistance + feedback every step of the way. So, no more reasons for putting it off any longer! **
** If you’ve still got an excuse not mentioned here, please email me at Jess [@] LongestBusRides.com + let me know what it is!! :-)
The course is 100% online, so you’ll just need access to the internet for a few minutes per lesson. Complete Getting Into Manual Mode from anywhere in the world, whether at home or while traveling.
You’ll receive the course materials as soon as you enroll. This allows you to have a look at the reading in advance, if you like. The course occurs on specific dates, so that you + the other participants work through the lessons together. Of course, I’ll guide the course.
What is the Time Commitment?
Whether you’re a busy mom or dad, a student with a tough class schedule, or a have a job with crazy hours, you can still squeeze this course in!
That’s because the exact time commitment is up to you. Each module varies from 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can do the reading in the evening and the task the next morning, or whatever works best for you.
The more you practice the faster you’ll improve! Choose the 5-day or the 10-day course. The information is the same, so it just depends if you’d like 1 day or 2 days for completing each task.
Your lifetime membership in the LBR Photography Club Facebook Group is where you’ll make new friends, continue practicing, + asking questions for as long as you like!
5-day course: You’ll have 24 hours to complete each module. There are 5 modules, so the course is a total of 5 days.
10-day course: You’ll have 2 days to complete each module. There are 5 modules, so the course is a total of 10 days.
What Camera or Phone Functionality is Required?
Phone: You will probably need an app that allows you to select the ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. There are free + paid apps with this functionality. I use VSCO, which is a free app.
Camera: All you need is a camera with manual settings for ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. Check the instructions that came with your camera. Or, search for them on the internet + download the PDF file.
How Much Prior Experience is Needed?
Getting Into Manual Mode is for anyone who usually photographs in Auto Mode. I always tell my friends that some basics are really helpful, like the Rule of Thirds.
Here are instructions and an activity on the Rule of Thirds. Also, here is your FREE Cheatsheet for getting into Manual Mode today! Finally, check out my photography on Instagram and Facebook. You can always ask me questions – just comment on the photo you’re interested in. I always love chatting about photography!
Should I Take the Course When It’s Good Weather Outdoors?
Not necessarily. You can even complete this entire course indoors.
Of course, photography outdoors is more fun when the weather is nice, but all the skills can be learned in any weather. In fact, you’ve likely admired photographs taken in all sorts of weather conditions, such as fog, rain, + bright sunshine.
Regardless, you’ll learn the skills for ALL weather conditions.
Is Learning Manual Mode Photography Easy?
